Chez Caroline

Architecture d'intérieur et mobilier

This project reimagines the living areas of a single-family home, focusing on the kitchen and dining spaces. The intervention transforms a passage area into a functional, welcoming environment open to the garden, enhancing the connection between interior and exterior.

A new kitchen was designed within this circulation space to better organize the adjacent dining area. The kitchen functions as both a transitional space and a living area, featuring a fireplace, a high table overlooking the dining room and garden, abundant storage, and a cozy reading corner.

Ample storage solutions were integrated, including tall cabinets and open shelves designed to showcase the client’s ceramic work. Reused materials play a central role: wall tiles in Rotor granito were repurposed for the floor and countertop, Cubex elements and vintage ceramic tiles were incorporated, and lighting fixtures and the sink were also reclaimed from Rotor.

The project emphasizes material reuse, spatial efficiency, and layered functions, resulting in a kitchen and dining area that are practical, warm, and open, where circulation, conviviality, and natural light coexist seamlessly.
